Job Summary:

The Executive Vice President (EVP) – Instrumentation Division is responsible for leading the strategy, growth, and operational excellence of the instrumentation and control systems business. This role oversees the development, engineering, manufacturing, and deployment of advanced instrumentation solutions for process industries, ensuring innovation, compliance, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the global strategy for the instrumentation division across industrial sectors such as oil & gas, energy, chemicals, and water treatment.

  • Lead cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, manufacturing, project execution, and after-sales service.

  • Drive product innovation in process control instruments (e.g., pressure, flow, temperature, and level transmitters; analyzers; control systems).

  • Oversee compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, API, ATEX, SIL) and local regulations.

  • Manage P&L, budgets, and investment plans for the division.

  • Lead business development and sales strategy to expand market presence and build client partnerships.

  • Guide execution of large instrumentation & control system contracts, from design to commissioning and support.

  • Foster strategic alliances with OEMs, EPC contractors, and automation system integrators.

  • Ensure team development, succession planning, and performance management across the division.

  • Report on division performance, strategic risks, and growth opportunities to the CEO and Board.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

  • 15+ years of experience in the instrumentation or automation industry, with at least 5 years in senior executive roles.

  • Deep technical understanding of industrial instrumentation and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, IIoT).

  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex, large-scale projects.

  • Strong commercial acumen and international business exposure.

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in digital transformation, smart instrumentation, and Industry 4.0 solutions.

  • Familiarity with hazardous area equipment and certification standards (e.g., IECEx, FM, CSA).

  • Ability to drive innovation while balancing compliance and cost-efficiency.

  • Strong industry network within oil & gas, power, and utilities sectors.
