Job Summary:

The Executive Vice President (EVP) – Business Development is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for developing and executing high-impact business development strategies that drive growth, market expansion, and revenue generation. This role leads strategic partnerships, enterprise-level sales, and long-term client relationship management while ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and financial objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the company’s business development strategy to drive growth in core and emerging markets.

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, customer segments, and strategic alliances.

  • Oversee enterprise-level deal-making, including contract negotiations, strategic partnerships, and long-term agreements.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies.

  • Manage key client relationships and support business retention and expansion goals.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and strategic networking engagements.

  • Analyze business performance metrics, market trends, and competitive positioning to inform strategic decisions.

  • Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing business development team across regions or verticals.

  • Present business growth plans, performance updates, and forecasts to the CEO and board of directors.

  • Ensure all business development activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

  • 12–15+ years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, or enterprise sales, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.

  • Demonstrated success in developing multi-million-dollar partnerships and driving company-level growth.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to structure complex deals.

  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive analysis, and sales funnel management.

  • Strong executive presence and excellent communication and presentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in [industry-specific: e.g., technology, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, SaaS, B2B services].

  • Exposure to global markets and international partnership development.

  • Familiarity with M&A, investment evaluation, or business integration processes.
