The Executive Vice President (EVP) – Business Development is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for developing and executing high-impact business development strategies that drive growth, market expansion, and revenue generation. This role leads strategic partnerships, enterprise-level sales, and long-term client relationship management while ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and financial objectives.
Define and lead the company’s business development strategy to drive growth in core and emerging markets.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets, customer segments, and strategic alliances.
Oversee enterprise-level deal-making, including contract negotiations, strategic partnerships, and long-term agreements.
Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
Manage key client relationships and support business retention and expansion goals.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and strategic networking engagements.
Analyze business performance metrics, market trends, and competitive positioning to inform strategic decisions.
Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing business development team across regions or verticals.
Present business growth plans, performance updates, and forecasts to the CEO and board of directors.
Ensure all business development activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
12–15+ years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, or enterprise sales, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
Demonstrated success in developing multi-million-dollar partnerships and driving company-level growth.
Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to structure complex deals.
Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive analysis, and sales funnel management.
Strong executive presence and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience in [industry-specific: e.g., technology, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, SaaS, B2B services].
Exposure to global markets and international partnership development.
Familiarity with M&A, investment evaluation, or business integration processes.
