The Executive Director – Power Plant Engineering & Fabrication is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the engineering design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems critical to power plant operations. This role oversees multidisciplinary teams managing engineering projects, fabrication shops, quality assurance, and field services. The Executive Director ensures that all mechanical engineering and fabrication activities are executed safely, on time, within budget, and comply with applicable codes and standards.
Develop and implement strategic plans for engineering and fabrication departments aligned with corporate goals.
Lead innovation in engineering solutions and fabrication methods to optimize plant performance and cost efficiency.
Set performance targets, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across engineering and fabrication functions.
Oversee mechanical design and engineering for boilers, turbines, piping, pressure vessels, structural supports, and auxiliary equipment.
Ensure designs comply with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.) and meet project specifications.
Approve engineering deliverables, technical specifications, and change management documents.
Manage fabrication shops, welding operations, and field construction teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of mechanical components.
Establish fabrication workflows, quality control procedures, and maintenance of equipment and tools.
Coordinate with project management teams for execution of new installations, upgrades, and turnaround activities.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards in all engineering and fabrication activities.
Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions to uphold plant safety and reliability.
Facilitate internal and external audits, inspections, and certification processes.
Build and mentor a high-caliber team of engineers, fabricators, supervisors, and technical specialists.
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Oversee workforce planning, training programs, and succession development.
Engage with internal stakeholders, clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
Represent the company in industry forums, technical committees, and client presentations.

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, or related field
Advanced certifications in project management, quality assurance, or leadership are advantageous
Experience:
15+ years of progressive experience in power plant engineering and fabrication, with significant leadership responsibility
Proven expertise in managing large engineering teams and fabrication operations in power generation or heavy industry
Strong background in ASME, API, AWS, and other relevant industry standards and codes
