The Executive Director – Manufacturing Technology is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the technological advancement and innovation of the organization’s manufacturing capabilities. This includes developing and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing strategies, evaluating and adopting emerging technologies (e.g., Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing), and improving process efficiency, product quality, and operational agility across all plants. The position bridges R&D, operations, engineering, and digital transformation to position the company at the forefront of advanced manufacturing.
Technology Strategy & Vision:
Define and lead the manufacturing technology roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
Identify, evaluate, and integrate disruptive technologies such as AI, automation, additive manufacturing, IoT, and digital twins.
Advanced Manufacturing Leadership:
Oversee the deployment of smart manufacturing solutions across plants to improve quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
Champion digital transformation initiatives including MES, ERP integration, and predictive analytics.
Cross-Functional Innovation:
Collaborate with R&D, product development, operations, and engineering teams to translate product designs into scalable manufacturing processes.
Lead prototyping and pilot initiatives for new technologies.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
Drive continuous improvement programs using lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies.
Monitor KPIs and ensure consistent productivity and quality enhancement across operations.
Sustainability & Compliance:
Integrate sustainable manufacturing practices to reduce energy use, emissions, and waste.
Ensure compliance with global industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety codes.
Leadership & Talent Development:
Build and mentor high-performing technology and engineering teams.
Promote a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability across the manufacturing organization.
Strategic Partnerships & External Engagement:
Establish partnerships with technology vendors, research institutions, and industry alliances.
Represent the company at industry forums and regulatory bodies.

Executive-level stakeholder management and decision-making capabilities.
Skilled in driving transformation across conservative or legacy systems.
Strong track record in implementing new technologies while managing risk.

Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (mandatory)
Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology Management, or MBA (preferred)
Certifications:
Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt), PMP, or Smart Manufacturing certifications (optional but valuable)
Experience:
20+ years of experience in large-scale manufacturing operations
Minimum 7–10 years in senior leadership or executive roles focused on technology or manufacturing transformation
