We are seeking a highly qualified Executive Director of Mechanical or Asset Integrity to lead the development and execution of comprehensive integrity programs across our mechanical assets. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical equipment by managing inspection, maintenance, risk assessment, and compliance activities. This leadership role requires strategic vision, strong technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to safeguard asset performance and extend lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Integrity Program Leadership:
Develop, implement, and oversee mechanical and asset integrity management programs in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead inspection and testing strategies, including non-destructive testing (NDT), fitness-for-service assessments, and condition monitoring.
Manage risk assessment and mitigation processes to proactively identify and address potential integrity issues.
Maintenance and Reliability Collaboration:
Partner with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams to optimize asset performance and minimize downtime.
Utilize reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), root cause analysis, and predictive maintenance tools to drive continuous improvement.
Coordinate failure investigations and corrective action plans.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all integrity activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
Promote a culture of safety and integrity throughout the organization.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of integrity engineers and inspectors.
Foster professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Establish performance metrics and monitor team effectiveness.
Strategic Planning and Reporting:
Develop long-term strategies for asset integrity management aligned with business goals.
Prepare and present regular reports on asset health, integrity risks, and program effectiveness to senior leadership.
Drive innovation in integrity management technologies and practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
Experience:
12+ years of experience in mechanical or asset integrity roles, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
Strong background in inspection, risk assessment, and maintenance of mechanical systems and critical assets.
Experience in managing large teams and complex integrity programs.
Skills:
Deep understanding of industry standards (API, ASME, NACE) and regulatory requirements.
Proficient in risk management, NDT methods, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Certifications:
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
Certifications such as API 580/581, NACE, or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) are highly desirable.
