The Engineering Projects Manager – Mechanical Systems is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering mechanical engineering projects across facilities and utility infrastructure. This role oversees the full project lifecycle—from concept design and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover—ensuring technical excellence, budget control, and on-time delivery. The incumbent manages multidisciplinary coordination, safety compliance, and integration of mechanical systems with operational infrastructure.
Lead the development of mechanical system designs, specifications, and technical drawings for projects including piping systems, HVAC, pumping stations, fire protection, and process equipment.
Ensure alignment with applicable standards (ASME, IS, API, NFPA) and internal engineering guidelines.
Support feasibility studies and technical assessments during project initiation.
Manage mechanical aspects of capital and upgrade projects, ensuring execution within scope, time, and cost.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, instrumentation, and automation teams for multidisciplinary integration.
Lead regular project reviews, status reporting, and escalation of critical issues.
Support preparation of tender documents for mechanical works, equipment, and services.
Evaluate technical bids, coordinate with procurement teams, and manage vendor/contractor interfaces.
Oversee fabrication, delivery, and installation of major mechanical equipment.
Supervise site works, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Ensure quality control, adherence to safety procedures, and compliance with project drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and document control.
