The Engineering Manager for Turbine Components (Nozzles, Blades, Disks) will lead a specialized engineering team responsible for the design, analysis, development, and manufacturing support of critical turbine components used in aerospace and industrial gas turbines. The role demands strong technical expertise in materials, stress analysis, and aerodynamics of turbine parts, combined with proven leadership skills to deliver high-quality, innovative, and reliable components.
Manage and mentor a team of engineers focused on turbine component design, including nozzles, blades, and disks.
Drive the engineering efforts to improve performance, durability, and manufacturability of turbine components.
Oversee component design, stress analysis, thermal evaluation, and lifecycle assessment.
Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams to ensure components meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for component failures or performance issues.
Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices to optimize productivity and quality.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
Support supplier development and qualification for turbine components.
Stay current with emerging materials, coatings, and manufacturing technologies relevant to turbine components.
Facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment to meet program objectives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
7+ years of experience in turbine component engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Strong knowledge of turbine blade, nozzle, and disk design principles, including aerodynamics, thermal stresses, and materials.
Experience with FEA, CFD, and fatigue/durability analysis tools.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, machining, and coating technologies.
Proven track record in managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with aerospace or industrial gas turbine standards and certification processes preferred.
Knowledge of additive manufacturing and advanced material development.
Experience in supplier management and quality assurance.
Understanding of turbine engine system integration and testing.
