We are looking for a strategic and technically proficient Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer to lead HVAC energy optimization efforts in a complex power plant setting. This role involves high-level energy performance analysis, project leadership, and mentoring of junior engineers. The ideal candidate will drive impactful energy-saving initiatives, influence capital improvement decisions, and ensure compliance with sustainability and efficiency standards.
Strategic HVAC Energy Optimization
Lead plant-wide HVAC energy performance assessments, including advanced diagnostics on chillers, AHUs, pumps, and cooling towers.
Identify systemic inefficiencies and spearhead optimization projects that reduce energy use, emissions, and operating costs.
Develop and implement high-impact energy conservation measures (ECMs), including both operational and capital-intensive solutions.
Project Leadership & Technical Oversight
Manage end-to-end execution of energy efficiency projects, from feasibility study through design, procurement, implementation, and commissioning.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and automation/controls to ensure optimal project outcomes.
Oversee HVAC system upgrades, retrofits, and integration of advanced control systems (e.g., demand-based ventilation, energy recovery systems).
Measurement & Verification (M&V)
Design M&V strategies aligned with IPMVP protocols to accurately track energy savings.
Use high-resolution data from BMS/SCADA systems, data loggers, and power monitoring tools to validate savings.
Present findings and business cases to senior stakeholders and drive data-informed decision-making.
Compliance, Standards & Reporting
Ensure ongoing compliance with ASHRAE standards, ISO 50001, and internal energy management frameworks.
Lead internal audits and support external certifications or energy performance contracting (EPC) requirements.
Develop executive-level reports, technical whitepapers, and system documentation to support regulatory and operational needs.
Mentoring & Capacity Building
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and interns, fostering a high-performance culture of continuous learning.
Lead internal training sessions on HVAC optimization, thermodynamic modeling, and sustainability best practices.
Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and technical working groups.
Lead HVAC energy strategy and system-wide optimization
Drive cross-functional execution of energy-saving projects
Design robust M&V plans and report verified savings
Ensure compliance with energy and sustainability standards
Build technical capacity and mentor junior staff
