Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist (Senior Level)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Employee Relations Specialist (Senior Level) to lead and manage complex employee relations issues across the organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a fair, compliant, and respectful workplace by overseeing investigations, advising leadership on labor law matters, and driving proactive initiatives to reduce risk and enhance employee engagement. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and act as a key contributor to shaping the organization’s employee experience and workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the resolution of complex employee relations cases including misconduct, grievances, disciplinary actions, and legal claims.

  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and HR business partners on labor law compliance, performance issues, and workplace conflict resolution.

  • Conduct and oversee high-level investigations in line with legal requirements, company policy, and confidentiality standards.

  • Review and update internal policies, employee handbooks, and disciplinary procedures to ensure compliance with UAE/GCC labor laws.

  • Identify workplace trends, risks, or cultural challenges and recommend proactive interventions to improve employee satisfaction and retention.

  • Partner with legal, compliance, and senior HR leaders to manage risk mitigation, regulatory reporting, and employee relations audits.

  • Develop and deliver training sessions on topics such as professional conduct, anti-harassment, conflict management, and policy compliance.

  • Maintain detailed, secure documentation of all employee relations cases, actions taken, and outcomes.

  • Contribute to shaping organizational culture through employee engagement strategies and communications.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Psychology, or Business Administration (Master’s or legal certification preferred)

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior employee relations role

  • Deep understanding of UAE/GCC labor law, dispute resolution procedures, and HR compliance best practices

  • Proven ability to lead investigations and resolve complex ER cases with discretion and sound judgment

  • Excellent stakeholder management, coaching, and communication skills

  • High emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and strong ethics

  • Strong documentation and case management capabilities

  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools
