Independent Electronics and Electrical Engineering Recruiter – UAE (Hybrid/Flexible)

About the Role:

We are seeking an Independent Electronics and Electrical Engineering Recruiter to source, assess, and place highly skilled professionals within the electronics and electrical engineering sectors across the UAE. This role requires expertise in electronics design, electrical systems, circuit design, power systems, automation, and renewable energy solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Research & Candidate Sourcing

  • Conduct in-depth market research on the electronics and electrical engineering industry in the UAE, analyzing hiring trends, salary benchmarks, and employment types (permanent, contract, and project-based).
  • Source qualified candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, industry-specific platforms, and professional referrals.
  • Build strong relationships with electronics manufacturing companies, engineering consultancies, energy companies, and automation firms to expand the talent pipeline and stay updated on staffing needs.

2. Candidate Screening & Assessment

  • Initial Screening: Review CVs, certifications, and work experience related to electronics design, power systems, circuit design, and automation technologies.
  • Technical & Management Interviews: Conduct in-depth interviews in collaboration with industry experts and clients to assess candidates' knowledge in:
    • Electronics design (analog and digital circuits, embedded systems)
    • Electrical power systems (generation, transmission, and distribution)
    • Automation and control systems (PLC programming, SCADA, DCS)
    • Renewable energy technologies (solar power systems, wind energy)
    • Project management for electrical engineering projects (cost management, scheduling, resource allocation)
  • Skills & Certification Verification: Ensure candidates hold relevant industry certifications such as:
    • Certified Electronics Technician (CET)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) for project management positions
    • LEED Certification for engineers working in sustainable building projects
    • Certified Automation Professional (CAP) for automation engineers
    • Electrical Engineering certifications (e.g., IEEE certifications, PE Electrical License)
  • Competency & Compliance Assessment: Evaluate candidates' knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and UAE-specific regulations (e.g., DEWA standards, UAE electrical safety regulations).

3. Client Collaboration

  • Partner with electronics manufacturers, electrical engineering consultancies, and automation companies to understand their staffing needs.
  • Provide industry insights on wage expectations, in-demand skills, and advancements in electronics and electrical engineering technologies, such as automation systems, smart grids, and renewable energy.
  • Assist clients in creating tailored job descriptions for roles in electronics design, power systems, and automation technologies.

4. Interview Coordination & Feedback

  • Schedule and facilitate interviews between candidates and clients, managing all logistics, feedback collection, and follow-ups.
  • Gather feedback from both candidates and clients post-interviews, offering constructive feedback and facilitating candidate selection.
  • Offer interview coaching to candidates on electrical engineering principles, electronics design, and sustainable energy practices.

5. Talent Database Management

  • Maintain a comprehensive database of electronics and electrical engineering professionals, including qualifications, certifications, skills, and availability.
  • Regularly update candidate profiles with new certifications, project experience, and availability for contract or full-time roles.
  • Ensure the database reflects compliance with UAE electrical regulations, electrical safety standards, and industry best practices.

6. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure that all placements comply with UAE labor laws, safety standards, and electrical engineering regulations.
  • Verify work permits, visa status, and professional certifications to ensure candidates meet all legal and technical requirements for electronics and electrical engineering roles.
  • Stay informed about evolving UAE electrical regulations, construction safety standards, and renewable energy laws.

7. Onboarding & Post-Placement Support

  • Assist newly placed candidates with the onboarding process, ensuring they understand electrical systems, safety protocols, and client-specific engineering practices.
  • Act as a point of contact for both clients and candidates to address any post-placement concerns.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure job satisfaction, employee retention, and operational efficiency in electronics and electrical engineering projects.

8. Continuous Industry Insights & Improvement

  • Stay updated on the latest electronics and electrical engineering trends, such as IoT, smart grid technologies, automation advancements, and renewable energy innovations.
  • Recommend improvements to recruitment strategies based on the evolving needs of the electronics and electrical engineering sectors.
  • Offer clients insights on emerging technologies, smart cities, building automation, and energy-efficient electrical systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or HR certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of recruitment experience in the electronics or electrical engineering industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with electronics design, power systems, automation systems, renewable energy technologies, and UAE electrical regulations.
  • Legal & Compliance: Understanding of UAE labor laws, electrical safety standards, and UAE construction regulations.
  • Recruitment & Client Management: Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment processes while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Independence & Efficiency: Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision while meeting client expectations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and industry-specific recruitment tools.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other relevant languages is a plus.
