Job Summary:

The Director – Business Development is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, securing partnerships, and expanding the company's client base. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong commercial acumen, the ability to lead high-value negotiations, and a track record of achieving revenue targets through strategic planning and relationship management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead business development strategies to support company growth goals.

  • Identify and evaluate potential markets, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.

  • Build, manage, and expand relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.

  • Lead end-to-end deal cycles, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment with go-to-market strategies.

  • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

  • Oversee proposal development, pricing strategies, and contractual terms.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to refine strategy.

  • Manage and mentor a team of business development managers or associates.

  • Report performance metrics, pipeline status, and strategic insights to senior leadership.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • 8–10 years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or corporate partnerships.

  • Proven track record of developing and closing high-value strategic deals.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and pipeline management tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience in [customize: e.g., B2B, SaaS, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, or services].

  • Familiarity with consultative selling, solution-based approaches, and long-cycle deal management.

  • Experience with international markets or regional business development oversight.
