  • Drive plant-wide initiatives including energy recovery, combustion optimization, and steam cycle efficiency improvements.

Boiler System Engineering & Analysis

  • Provide expert oversight on thermal system modeling, combustion analysis, heat balance studies, and boiler-turbine performance correlations.

  • Guide thermal stress evaluation, fatigue analysis, and creep life assessments of pressure parts and critical weld joints.

  • Review and approve modifications, redesigns, and component specifications for major boiler equipment.

Compliance & Standards Management

  • Ensure adherence to ASME Section I, B31.1, NBIC, and other relevant codes and standards.

  • Manage engineering documentation for pressure parts, safety valves, and steam piping in alignment with regulatory and plant policy.

  • Liaise with code authorities, third-party inspectors, and insurance auditors on boiler compliance matters.

Capital Project Oversight

  • Lead engineering aspects of boiler-related capital projects including replacements, retrofits, and advanced controls integration.

  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and OEM vendors to ensure project quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.

  • Participate in long-term asset planning, lifecycle cost analysis, and technology roadmaps for thermal systems.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Direct and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team specializing in mechanical, thermal, and process systems.

  • Promote technical excellence, innovation, and professional development within the thermal engineering function.

  • Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and HSE departments to ensure engineering alignment with plant needs.

Key Focus Areas

  • Engineering leadership for high-pressure boiler and thermal systems

  • System design integrity, combustion analysis, and thermal performance optimization

  • Code compliance, inspection support, and lifecycle management of pressure equipment

  • Boiler-related capital project leadership

  • Multidisciplinary team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
