The Director – Reliability and Asset Management is responsible for establishing and leading comprehensive asset management and equipment reliability strategies across the enterprise. This role ensures maximum asset performance, reduced operational risks, and optimized lifecycle costs through data-driven maintenance strategies, predictive analytics, and reliability engineering frameworks. The Director will work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement, safety, and business sustainability.
Reliability Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and lead enterprise-wide reliability programs to increase asset availability, performance, and lifespan.
Promote and implement asset reliability best practices, including Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Asset Lifecycle Management:
Define and optimize asset lifecycle strategies including planning, procurement, operation, and retirement of critical assets.
Use asset condition data to guide replacement strategies and investment prioritization.
Predictive & Preventive Maintenance (PdM/PM):
Champion the use of predictive tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis.
Drive preventive maintenance optimization through CMMS and failure data.
Failure Analysis & Risk Mitigation:
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and fault tree analysis for major equipment failures.
Mitigate systemic risks and improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
Technology Enablement:
Oversee deployment and use of CMMS, EAM, and condition-monitoring platforms to enable data-driven decision-making.
Explore opportunities for AI, IoT, and digital twin technologies in asset health monitoring.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure adherence to engineering codes, regulatory standards, and industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 55000, PAS 55).
Establish and monitor asset performance KPIs (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, Asset Utilization).
Team Leadership:
Lead a team of reliability engineers, planners, and analysts.
Foster a proactive reliability culture and mentor cross-functional stakeholders on reliability principles.
Capital Planning & Asset Investment:
Support CapEx decision-making with asset health data and reliability analytics.
Influence budget planning for upgrades, replacements, and performance improvements.

Experience with advanced analytics tools, dashboards, and real-time performance monitoring.
Skilled in CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM) and reliability software.
Excellent communication and influencing skills across engineering, maintenance, operations, finance, and IT teams.
Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (required)
M.E./MBA or Master’s in Asset Management, Engineering Management (preferred)
Certifications (Preferred):
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
ISO 55001/Asset Management System Certification
Six Sigma, PMP, or Reliability Engineer Certification (CRE)
Experience:
15+ years in asset management, reliability engineering, or industrial maintenance
5+ years in a senior leadership role managing multi-site reliability or asset programs
Industry experience in energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining, or utilities preferred
