The Director – Quality & Standards for the Valves Division is responsible for establishing and leading the quality assurance, control, and compliance programs to ensure all valve products meet or exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role oversees quality systems, audits, certifications, and product standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, PED) across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier operations. The Director drives a culture of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and quality excellence throughout the organization.
Develop and implement the quality strategy for the valves division, aligned with corporate objectives and customer requirements.
Ensure compliance with global standards and certifications including API 6D/600, ASME B16.34, ISO 9001/14001, PED, CE, and others.
Maintain and continuously improve the division’s quality management system (QMS).
Lead the execution of product and process quality controls across manufacturing plants, supplier operations, and final inspection.
Drive internal and external audit programs, including customer, third-party, and regulatory audits.
Develop and enforce quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, scrap/rework, on-time delivery of compliant products).
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to embed quality in design, production, and procurement processes.
Support the resolution of critical quality issues using structured root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, and FMEA methods.
Work closely with customers and sales teams on technical documentation, certifications, and quality performance feedback.
Lead the interpretation and implementation of valve industry standards and technical codes into product specifications and procedures.
Monitor changes to global quality and compliance regulations and drive updates accordingly.
Champion lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies to improve process robustness and product consistency.
Build and develop a skilled quality organization including QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and compliance specialists.
Promote a quality-first culture through training, leadership engagement, and recognition programs.
Lead succession planning and competency development initiatives within the quality function.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (required)
Master’s degree or relevant quality-related certifications (preferred)
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO Lead Auditor, or Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred)
Strong knowledge of international valve standards: API, ASME, ISO, CE, PED
10–15+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing quality, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the valves or flow control industry
Proven track record managing audits, certifications, and QMS systems across multiple sites
Experience working with global regulatory bodies and certification agencies
Deep technical understanding of valve design, materials, and functional testing
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
