Job Title: Director – Quality and Compliance

Overview of the Role

The Director – Quality and Compliance is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality management and regulatory compliance across the organization. This role demands a strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and quality assurance processes. The Director will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that the company's products and services meet or exceed all applicable quality and compliance requirements. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the incumbent will foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability, positioning the organization as a leader in quality standards within the AE region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the organization’s quality and compliance strategies aligned with business objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure company-wide adherence to quality policies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret relevant local, regional, and international regulations. Ensure all operations, products, and services comply with applicable laws and standards, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving regulatory landscapes.
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS): Design, implement, and maintain robust QMS frameworks based on recognized standards such as ISO 9001, ensuring continuous improvement and effectiveness. Lead audits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential quality and compliance risks within organizational processes. Develop mitigation strategies and corrective actions to address non-conformities and prevent recurrence.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of quality and compliance professionals. Promote a culture of quality awareness and professional growth.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and regulatory bodies to facilitate compliance initiatives. Communicate effectively regarding quality standards, compliance issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports on quality metrics, audit findings, and compliance status for executive management and regulatory authorities. Maintain meticulous documentation to support audits and certifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance quality processes, reduce defects, and improve customer satisfaction. Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate innovative approaches into quality management.
