The Director – Projects (Balance of Plant (BOP) Fabrication & Installation) is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of all BOP fabrication and installation projects within power plant facilities or industrial plants. This senior leadership role ensures that structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and civil components related to the Balance of Plant are fabricated and installed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The Director leads cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Lead the end-to-end management of BOP fabrication and installation projects, ensuring alignment with overall plant goals and timelines.
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to achieve timely completion.
Oversee fabrication shops and subcontractors producing BOP components including steel structures, piping, cable trays, supports, and auxiliary equipment.
Ensure fabrication meets engineering drawings, codes (ASME, AWS, API, etc.), and quality standards.
Approve fabrication methodologies and inspection plans.
Manage field installation teams and contractors performing erection of BOP systems including structural steel, mechanical piping, electrical supports, and instrumentation mounts.
Coordinate site activities, ensuring safety compliance, quality control, and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Oversee commissioning support for installed BOP systems.
Implement and enforce stringent quality assurance and safety protocols across fabrication and installation activities.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
Address non-conformance and lead corrective/preventive action programs.
Build, lead, and mentor project managers, engineers, supervisors, and field personnel.
Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, operations, and client teams for integrated project delivery.
Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or related field
Experience:
12+ years managing industrial fabrication and construction projects, with significant experience in BOP systems for power plants or heavy industry
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
Strong knowledge of fabrication codes, welding standards, construction practices, and safety regulations
