The Director – Pressure Part Fabrication & Repair oversees all activities related to the fabrication, inspection, and repair of pressure parts within power plants or heavy industrial facilities. This senior leadership role ensures compliance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and NBIC (National Board Inspection Code) standards while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and operational efficiency. The Director manages fabrication shops, repair crews, and inspection teams to deliver reliable pressure equipment including boilers, pressure vessels, piping, and related components.
Lead fabrication and repair operations of pressure parts such as boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
Ensure adherence to ASME Section I, VIII, and NBIC codes during fabrication, inspection, and repair.
Approve welding procedures, material certifications, and quality documentation.
Maintain strict compliance with ASME and NBIC standards and other applicable regulations.
Oversee welder qualifications, NDE (Non-Destructive Examination), hydrotesting, and final inspections.
Implement and continuously improve QA/QC programs to ensure the highest product integrity.
Enforce safety protocols specific to pressure equipment fabrication and repair.
Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Promote a culture of safety and regulatory compliance.
Manage and mentor fabrication supervisors, welding engineers, inspectors, and repair technicians.
Coordinate training and certification programs to enhance team competencies.
Foster cross-functional collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and operations departments.
Develop and manage budgets for pressure part fabrication and repair activities.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality metrics, repair turnaround times, safety records, and cost control.
Provide regular progress reports to senior management.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field
Experience:
12+ years of experience in pressure part fabrication and repair within power plants or heavy industry
Extensive knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and National Board Inspection Code
Proven leadership in managing fabrication and repair operations under regulatory compliance
