The Director – MEP Projects is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects within power plant facilities. This leadership role ensures all MEP installations and upgrades meet technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory compliance while supporting plant operational goals. The director manages project teams, coordinates with contractors and stakeholders, and drives successful completion of complex MEP projects on schedule and within budget.
Lead the end-to-end management of MEP projects including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and utility infrastructure within power plants.
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Review and approve engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction drawings related to MEP disciplines.
Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA), and client requirements.
Monitor construction quality, progress, and compliance through site inspections and audits.
Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards on all MEP projects.
Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting for regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
Manage and mentor multidisciplinary project teams including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
Promote collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and deadlines.
Liaise with plant operations, engineering departments, contractors, and vendors.
Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to senior management and stakeholders.
Resolve technical and operational issues promptly to avoid project delays.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or related field
Experience:
12+ years managing MEP projects, with at least 5 years in power plant or heavy industrial facilities
Proven experience in large-scale HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection projects
Skills:
Strong project management capabilities (scheduling, budgeting, procurement)
In-depth knowledge of MEP engineering standards and codes
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
