We are seeking a strategic and technically accomplished Director – Emissions and EGR Valve Systems to lead the development, integration, and regulatory compliance of emission control technologies, with a specific focus on Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve systems across combustion engine platforms.
This role will oversee cross-functional engineering teams, manage supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with global emissions regulations (e.g., Euro 6/7, EPA, BS VI), driving innovation in engine performance, emissions reduction, and cost-effective system integration.
Define long-term strategy for EGR and emissions control system architecture across vehicle platforms.
Lead design, development, and validation of EGR valves (pneumatic, electric, or integrated with VGTs) and associated control systems.
Guide simulation and testing efforts for flow dynamics, thermal behavior, and durability of EGR components.
Ensure products meet or exceed emissions regulations (e.g., EPA, Euro 7, CARB, BS VI, China VI).
Lead cross-functional collaboration for certification testing, documentation, and emissions reporting.
Stay ahead of global regulatory changes and influence internal planning accordingly.
Coordinate with powertrain, calibration, electronics, and vehicle integration teams.
Lead DFMEA, PFMEA, and DVP&R processes for emissions components.
Ensure timely delivery of project milestones, budget adherence, and supplier performance.
Oversee selection, development, and performance management of EGR valve and sensor suppliers.
Evaluate emerging technologies in EGR cooling, valve actuation, and emission reduction techniques (e.g., LP-EGR, HP-EGR integration).
Build and lead a high-performing global team of engineers and specialists.
Drive innovation culture through training, mentorship, and performance development.
Represent the company at technical forums, regulatory meetings, and industry groups.
