We are seeking a highly experienced Director – Asset Integrity to lead the management and preservation of mechanical systems and valve assets within water and wastewater treatment facilities. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and longevity of critical infrastructure through robust inspection, maintenance, and integrity management programs.
Asset Integrity Management
Develop and implement comprehensive asset integrity programs focusing on valves, piping systems, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
Lead condition assessment, risk analysis, and life extension strategies to maintain asset performance and compliance.
Utilize industry standards and best practices (API, ASME, AWWA) to guide inspection and maintenance protocols.
Inspection & Monitoring
Oversee regular inspections, testing, and diagnostics of mechanical assets and valves to detect degradation or failures early.
Manage non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and collaborate with inspection teams to assess asset health.
Analyze data from monitoring systems (e.g., vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing) to drive predictive maintenance.
Risk & Compliance Oversight
Identify and evaluate risks associated with mechanical asset failure and develop mitigation plans.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental policies.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for asset failures or near misses.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead and mentor a team of asset integrity engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to integrate integrity management into workflows.
Communicate asset condition, risk status, and improvement plans to senior management and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability and reduce lifecycle costs.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, software, and methodologies to improve asset integrity management.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field (required)
Advanced degree or certifications in Asset Integrity or Inspection Management preferred
Certifications (Preferred):
API 580/581 Risk-Based Inspection certification
Certified Asset Integrity Management Professional (CAIMP) or similar
NDT certifications (e.g., UT, MT, PT) advantageous
Experience:
10+ years of asset integrity or mechanical engineering experience, preferably in water/wastewater or industrial sectors
Strong expertise in valve systems, mechanical asset inspection, and lifecycle management
Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex asset portfolios
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of asset integrity standards and risk assessment methodologies
Proficiency with inspection technologies and asset management software
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to drive strategic initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels
