We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale data infrastructure. With 4–7 years of experience, this role is ideal for individuals who can architect complex data solutions, influence data platform strategy, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring high-quality data delivery to drive analytics and business intelligence efforts.
Experience
4–7 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role
Proven track record of delivering scalable and high-performance data systems in production environments
Architect, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed data pipelines and workflows
Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product, and engineering teams to define and fulfill complex data needs
Optimize data processing performance, storage efficiency, and reliability
Lead data modeling initiatives for analytics, warehousing, and operational use cases
Implement and maintain monitoring, testing, and CI/CD practices for data pipelines
Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance standards are followed
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Master’s degree is preferred
Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with relational, columnar, and NoSQL databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Cassandra)
Expert-level skills in Python or Scala for data processing and automation
Deep experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift), GCP (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow), or Azure
Proficiency in data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster, Luigi)
Strong background in data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing principles
Experience working with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Flink
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
Solid understanding of data quality, observability, and governance standards
