We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Control Systems Engineer to support the configuration, operation, and maintenance of HVAC and Building Management Systems (BMS) within a power plant setting. This role is ideal for candidates with a foundation in control systems, HVAC automation, or instrumentation, and a strong interest in smart building technologies, system integration, and energy performance.
BMS & HVAC Controls Support
Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining HVAC control systems and field devices (e.g., sensors, actuators, VFDs, valves, thermostats).
Support the operation of the Building Management System (BMS), including point trending, alarm management, and control sequence analysis.
Participate in system health checks and functionality testing of BMS-controlled HVAC equipment.
System Configuration & Optimization
Assist with the development and fine-tuning of control strategies for HVAC equipment (AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, etc.).
Help in adjusting control setpoints, schedules, and PID tuning under supervision.
Support upgrades of control hardware/software and BMS interface screens (e.g., dashboards, floor plans).
Instrumentation & Field Support
Aid in field device installation, calibration, and testing.
Perform signal testing, loop checks, and basic wiring tasks as part of commissioning or maintenance activities.
Document wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and instrumentation specifications.
Data Collection & Reporting
Collect data from BMS, sensors, and control panels to support energy analysis and fault detection.
Help develop trend logs, alarms reports, and control logic documentation.
Support root cause analysis of HVAC performance issues using BMS data.
Learning & Development
Work under the guidance of senior engineers to learn HVAC control sequences, system architecture, and protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).
Participate in training sessions on automation systems, control fundamentals, and smart building technologies.
Gain exposure to commissioning, energy audits, and retrofit planning.
Assist in operation and maintenance of BMS and HVAC control systems
Support system optimization through schedule and setpoint tuning
