We are looking for a Mid-Level Control Valve Technician to carry out detailed servicing, calibration, and troubleshooting of control valves and actuators in both shop and field environments. This role requires solid experience working with various types of control valves, positioners, and actuation systems. The ideal candidate will ensure equipment performance meets operational standards while supporting junior staff and collaborating with instrumentation and maintenance teams.
Perform disassembly, inspection, and repair of control valves including globe, ball, butterfly, and rotary types.
Identify wear or damage to internal components and execute repairs or replacements.
Rebuild valves and actuators to OEM specifications.
Conduct testing and calibration of pneumatic, electric, and electro-pneumatic actuators.
Calibrate valve positioners (e.g., Fisher, Masoneilan, ABB, Siemens) using diagnostic tools.
Perform stroke testing, seat leakage testing, and bench testing as per ISA and OEM standards.
Provide onsite support during shutdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
Assist in control valve troubleshooting in live plant conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with control system engineers and maintenance personnel to resolve valve-related issues.
Maintain service records, calibration logs, and valve history files.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality protocols (API, ISA, ASME).
Contribute to safety compliance by following proper work procedures and hazard controls.
Support training of junior technicians and apprentices.
Work closely with instrumentation, reliability, and process teams to improve valve performance.
Report status updates and service outcomes to supervisors and engineering teams.
Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Industrial Maintenance.
3–5 years of experience in control valve maintenance, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
Familiar with major OEMs like Emerson/Fisher, Masoneilan, Samson, Rotork, and Flowserve.
Skilled in using calibration tools, multimeters, pneumatic signal testers, and digital positioners.
Strong understanding of valve operation, actuator control loops, and instrumentation interfaces.
Ability to read P&IDs, datasheets, and technical manuals.

OEM valve repair certifications.
Safety certifications (e.g., H2S, confined space, LOTO, OSHA).
