We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of complex industrial control and automation systems. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical expert across multiple projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure high-quality engineering outcomes aligned with industry standards and client expectations.
Lead the design, configuration, programming, and deployment of control systems including PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI applications.
Serve as the technical authority on control system architectures, instrumentation integration, and automation strategies.
Oversee the preparation and review of engineering deliverables such as Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control narratives, loop diagrams, and I/O lists.
Execute and lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and system commissioning.
Define, implement, and verify safety instrumented systems (SIS), including SIL assessments and compliance with IEC 61511.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process, electrical, and mechanical engineers to deliver fully integrated solutions.
Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide advanced technical support for installed control systems.
Drive innovation in control strategies, alarm management, optimization, and cybersecurity for industrial automation systems.
Develop and enforce internal engineering standards and QA/QC procedures.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers to support knowledge transfer and skills development.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Control Systems, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
7+ years of progressive experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
Deep expertise in at least one or more automation platforms (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Honeywell, ABB, Schneider).
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
Advanced experience in developing and interpreting P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and system architectures.
Proven experience in project delivery from concept to commissioning.
Experience in oil & gas, chemical, water/wastewater, power, or manufacturing industries.
Familiarity with SCADA systems like Wonderware, GE iFIX, Ignition, WinCC, or Citect.
Functional safety certification (e.g., TÜV-certified FS Engineer) is a strong plus.
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices in industrial control environments (ISA/IEC 62443).
Experience in team leadership, client engagement, and project management.
