Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Control Panel Wiring Technician to assist in assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels for power systems. The technician will work under supervision to interpret wiring diagrams, route cables, and ensure proper electrical connections for control panels used in power generation and distribution applications.


Key Focus Areas:

  • Panel Wiring Support – Assist in wiring of electrical panels including mounting components, cable routing, and terminal connections.

  • Schematic Interpretation – Learn to read and follow electrical wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and panel assembly instructions.

  • Panel Assembly – Support the assembly of control cabinets, junction boxes, and enclosures according to specifications.

  • Testing & Inspection – Conduct basic continuity checks and visual inspections to ensure correct wiring practices.

  • Workplace Safety – Follow all electrical safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Tool Handling & Inventory – Maintain hand tools, wire strippers, and crimping equipment; assist in managing panel materials.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Wire control panels by identifying wire tags, numbers, and following routing plans.

  • Terminate cables using proper crimping and soldering techniques.

  • Assist in fitting and mounting control devices such as relays, circuit breakers, contactors, and terminal blocks.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the panel wiring workspace.

  • Support testing and troubleshooting of panels under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.

  • Ensure all wiring is labeled and documented accurately.


Qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma or ITI Certification in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.

  • 0–2 years of experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, or related field.

  • Basic understanding of electrical symbols, color codes, and wiring practices.

  • Familiarity with low voltage (LV) systems, control circuits, and panel layout is an advantage.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Manual dexterity and comfort using hand tools.

  • Willingness to learn control system components and wiring techniques.

  • Ability to follow technical instructions and blueprints.

  • Team player with good communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
