We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Mechanical Helper to join our construction team. This role requires a candidate with practical experience in assisting mechanical work on construction sites. The ideal candidate will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, handle tools and materials, and be capable of performing tasks with moderate supervision.
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, under the supervision of senior mechanical technicians.
Handle tools, equipment, and materials required for mechanical tasks, ensuring proper care and storage.
Perform routine inspections and basic mechanical repairs as directed by senior team members.
Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, blueprints, and system specifications.
Assemble and install mechanical components and systems with limited supervision.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and help resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to support productivity and safety.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior mechanical helpers or apprentices.
Support senior staff in coordinating materials and equipment for specific projects.
2–4 years of experience in a mechanical helper or similar construction-related role.
Basic understanding of mechanical systems, components, and construction site operations.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
Good understanding of safety regulations and protocols in the construction industry.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Valid driver’s license (if required for transporting materials/equipment).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions carefully.
Ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
