To independently perform and support advanced condition monitoring activities on mechanical equipment to identify early signs of failure, improve equipment reliability, and support the predictive maintenance strategy of the plant.
Advanced Condition Monitoring
Perform vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and basic oil analysis on rotating and static equipment.
Monitor health parameters of motors, pumps, gearboxes, blowers, fans, and compressors.
Data Collection & Trend Analysis
Collect and analyze condition monitoring data using specialized instruments and software.
Identify abnormal patterns, trends, and potential failure modes.
Fault Diagnosis & Reporting
Diagnose common mechanical faults such as misalignment, imbalance, bearing wear, and looseness.
Generate detailed inspection and diagnostic reports and submit findings to engineers or supervisors.
Equipment Inspection
Conduct in-depth visual and manual inspections during planned shutdowns or after major equipment overhauls.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) activities for recurring failures.
Tool Management & Calibration
Ensure proper handling, usage, and routine calibration of condition monitoring tools such as vibration analyzers, IR cameras, ultrasonic detectors, and tachometers.
Coordination & Support
Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to schedule inspections without affecting production.
Assist senior engineers in implementing corrective actions and predictive maintenance programs.
Training & Mentorship
Guide junior technicians and share knowledge of tools, techniques, and field troubleshooting.
Conduct on-the-job demonstrations and assist with technical skill development of entry-level staff.
Documentation & CMMS Integration
Maintain detailed equipment health records and update data in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Ensure data integrity and timely submission of condition monitoring logs.
