The Senior Compressor/Turbine Lab Supervisor is a seasoned leader responsible for managing all testing operations related to compressors and turbines within the lab environment. This role ensures operational excellence, enforces stringent quality and safety standards, leads continuous improvement initiatives, and drives collaboration across R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams. The Senior Supervisor oversees multiple test programs, manages lab personnel, and optimizes resource allocation to support advanced turbomachinery development.
Lead and manage comprehensive lab testing programs for compressor and turbine components and systems.
Supervise, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of lab technicians, engineers, and operators.
Develop and implement lab policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance testing efficiency, data quality, and safety compliance.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing to support product development and validation.
Oversee calibration, maintenance, and upgrade of lab equipment, test rigs, and instrumentation to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Manage budgeting, resource planning, and scheduling of lab operations to meet project deadlines and organizational goals.
Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to test failures or equipment issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
Prepare and present technical reports, test summaries, and status updates to senior management.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred
7+ years in turbomachinery or mechanical testing environments, with 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
Proven experience managing complex testing programs and multi-disciplinary teams
Deep expertise in compressor and turbine testing methodologies, instrumentation, and data analysis
Strong knowledge of lab equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality systems
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
