We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Senior Cold Storage HVAC Supervisor to lead the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HVAC and refrigeration systems in cold storage facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring temperature-sensitive storage environments meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards. This role involves leading a team of technicians, overseeing vendor management, and ensuring high system uptime and energy efficiency.
Lead and manage daily operations of HVAC and refrigeration systems supporting cold rooms, freezers, blast chillers, and temperature-controlled zones.
Monitor environmental parameters (temperature, humidity) using Building Management Systems (BMS) or SCADA.
Ensure reliability of components such as chillers, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and defrost systems.
Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all cold storage HVAC systems.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment breakdowns and lead corrective action planning.
Ensure timely servicing, calibration, and performance verification of HVAC and refrigeration assets.
Ensure full compliance with GMP, WHO, ISO, HACCP, and cold chain regulatory guidelines.
Maintain complete documentation for temperature logs, calibration records, refrigerant handling, and maintenance history.
Lead internal and external audits, and ensure readiness for inspections related to cold storage operations.
Supervise and mentor a team of HVAC technicians and junior supervisors.
Allocate workloads, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols.
Provide technical training and support staff development in HVAC and cold storage best practices.
Oversee vendor contracts, AMCs, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Participate in facility expansion, HVAC retrofitting, and energy optimization projects.
Evaluate and recommend upgrades or new technologies to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
Respond to and manage HVAC/refrigeration emergencies, minimizing cold chain disruption.
Maintain contingency plans for power failures, equipment breakdowns, and refrigerant leaks.
