We are seeking a technically skilled and experienced Cold Storage HVAC Supervisor (Mid-Level) to manage the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of HVAC and refrigeration systems supporting cold storage and temperature-controlled environments. This role is critical in ensuring continuous and reliable system operation, compliance with storage standards, and minimal equipment downtime for temperature-sensitive storage.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, knowledge of cold chain compliance requirements, and the ability to lead a small team of technicians.
Supervise daily operations of cold storage HVAC systems, including chillers, freezers, walk-in cold rooms, evaporator units, and related control systems.
Ensure consistent temperature and humidity parameters based on product-specific storage requirements.
Monitor system performance using BMS/SCADA platforms and respond to deviations and alarms.
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted operation of cold storage areas.
Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC and refrigeration faults, coordinating with internal teams and vendors as necessary.
Maintain proper refrigerant levels, check compressors, fans, coils, defrost timers, and safety devices.
Ensure all activities comply with GMP, food/pharma cold chain standards, and regulatory guidelines (FSSAI, WHO, ISO, etc.).
Maintain accurate records of temperature logs, system checks, calibration data, and refrigerant usage.
Prepare reports on performance, maintenance schedules, equipment downtime, and audit compliance.
Lead and guide HVAC and refrigeration technicians in day-to-day operations.
Allocate tasks, conduct on-the-job training, and monitor work quality and safety compliance.
Coordinate with quality, warehouse, and maintenance teams for maintenance planning and operational alignment.
Liaise with service contractors and vendors for equipment repairs, upgrades, and AMC execution.
