We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Junior Cold Storage HVAC Supervisor to assist in the operation, maintenance, and performance monitoring of HVAC and refrigeration systems that support cold storage areas (chillers, freezers, and controlled temperature units). This role is critical in ensuring stable temperature and humidity conditions for temperature-sensitive goods, maintaining equipment efficiency, and supporting the senior engineering team in system reliability and compliance.
Assist in operating and monitoring refrigeration systems including chillers, walk-in coolers, freezers, and HVAC equipment used in cold storage environments.
Check and record cold room temperature, humidity, and system pressures as per schedule.
Respond to alarms or system deviations and escalate critical issues promptly.
Support in performing routine preventive maintenance (filter cleaning, refrigerant level checks, oil changes).
Assist in breakdown repairs, identifying basic faults, and preparing parts/tools for maintenance tasks.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around cold storage equipment.
Record temperature logs, daily operational checks, and maintenance reports accurately.
Follow GMP, food/pharma storage guidelines, or warehouse protocols for cold chain compliance.
Ensure proper documentation of refrigerant usage and basic calibration records.
Work under the guidance of senior technicians or supervisors for more complex maintenance.
Support team in minor installations or equipment replacements (e.g., evaporators, sensors).
Participate in safety training and toolbox talks related to HVAC and cold storage systems.
Adhere to safety standards for working in cold environments and with refrigerants.
Assist during emergency breakdowns and help minimize downtime with timely reporting and support.
