We are seeking a motivated Junior Cold Room / Freezer Maintenance Technician to assist in the upkeep, troubleshooting, and operation of cold storage systems such as walk-in cold rooms, freezers, chillers, and refrigeration units. The ideal candidate will support the team in ensuring that temperature-sensitive areas meet compliance, safety, and performance standards.
This is an entry-level role with a learning curve, intended for individuals who have foundational technical knowledge and a willingness to grow in the field of industrial refrigeration and cold storage maintenance.
Perform scheduled inspections of cold rooms and freezers for proper functioning.
Check temperature levels, door seals, lighting, and condensate drains.
Assist in the cleaning of coils, evaporators, and fan units.
Support diagnosis of basic faults such as unusual noises, defrost failures, and temperature deviations.
Report issues to senior technicians or supervisors for prompt corrective action.
Replace basic components such as filters, bulbs, and seals under guidance.
Record daily temperature and humidity logs as per SOP or quality standards.
Ensure cold storage areas are clean, well-maintained, and free of obstructions.
Assist with alarm response for temperature excursions.
Follow all safety protocols including PPE, LOTO, and chemical handling for refrigerants.
Assist with emergency repairs under supervision during breakdowns.
Maintain basic tools and report equipment wear and tear.
Fill out maintenance checklists, task completion forms, and logbooks.
Support documentation for audits or quality inspections.

ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical trades.
0–2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration or HVAC (freshers welcome with technical aptitude).
Basic knowledge of cold room operation, temperature control, and maintenance tools.
Understanding of refrigeration cycles (vapor compression basics).
Familiarity with cold chain or temperature-controlled environments.
Willingness to learn and grow under supervision in a team setting.
