We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Senior Chiller Systems Engineer to lead the engineering, performance optimization, and reliability initiatives for large-capacity chiller systems within a power plant environment. The role demands deep technical expertise in industrial cooling technologies, project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams focused on efficiency, uptime, and regulatory compliance.
Lead the design review, selection, and performance analysis of chiller systems, including centrifugal, absorption, and screw chillers.
Drive improvements in system Coefficient of Performance (COP), load balancing, and integration with building management and process cooling systems.
Analyze thermal load profiles and recommend system modifications or operational strategies to improve energy efficiency and responsiveness.
Define and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance programs, including vibration diagnostics, oil/refrigerant quality analysis, and performance degradation tracking.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, control, and performance issues and lead resolution efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure readiness of backup systems and minimize unplanned outages.
Lead capital projects including chiller replacements, major retrofits, control system integrations, and auxiliary system upgrades (e.g., cooling towers, VFD pumps).
Coordinate with vendors, design consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical oversight for commissioning, performance testing, and post-installation evaluation.
Ensure full compliance with local and international standards such as ASHRAE, EPA, OSHA, and internal plant protocols.
Maintain and update technical documentation, system drawings, and SOPs.
Contribute to internal audits, risk assessments, and safety case reviews.
Mentor junior engineers and guide the technical development of HVAC maintenance teams.
Provide training on system performance optimization, failure analysis, and safe operation.
Serve as the technical authority on all chiller and auxiliary cooling system matters within the plant.
Lead performance optimization and capacity planning
Oversee predictive maintenance and reliability engineering
Manage capital upgrades and system redesigns
Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory bodies
