We are seeking a results-driven Capital Projects Manager – Valves & Piping Systems to lead the planning, design, and execution of capital improvement projects involving valve networks, piping infrastructure, and mechanical systems within water and wastewater treatment facilities. This role oversees project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality, ensuring long-term system reliability and alignment with utility standards.
Project Leadership & Execution
Manage end-to-end delivery of capital projects focused on valve upgrades, pipe network replacements, and associated mechanical systems.
Coordinate engineering design reviews, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Ensure projects meet technical specifications, codes (AWWA, ASME, ANSI), and regulatory requirements.
Scope, Schedule & Budget Management
Develop project plans, charters, work breakdown structures (WBS), and milestone schedules.
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and funding approvals.
Monitor project progress, control changes, and manage contractor performance.
Technical Oversight
Review and approve engineering designs for valve and piping system configurations, material selections, and flow requirements.
Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers to ensure coordination across disciplines.
Ensure constructability and maintainability are considered during design and construction phases.
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as the primary point of contact between internal departments (operations, maintenance, planning) and external stakeholders (contractors, consultants, regulators).
Facilitate project meetings, report status updates, and resolve technical or logistical issues.
Ensure project alignment with long-term asset management and system reliability goals.
Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Identify and mitigate project risks related to valve and piping failures, pressure system safety, and hydraulic performance.
Implement QA/QC procedures and support field inspections, startup, and functional testing.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards throughout project delivery.
