The Junior Calibration Lab Supervisor assists in managing the calibration and verification of food-grade sensors and measurement instruments. The role ensures basic compliance, helps organize lab operations, and supports data accuracy and documentation standards in accordance with industry regulations.
Assist in performing routine calibration of temperature, pressure, pH, flow, and conductivity sensors.
Use calibrators, test benches, and reference standards under supervision.
Help maintain calibration logs and labels on field instruments.
Prepare and update basic calibration certificates, reports, and traceability documentation.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain calibration files in compliance with GMP and ISO standards.
Support lab setup, cleanliness, and equipment readiness for daily tasks.
Help manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and calibration consumables.
Assist with tracking instrument status and calibration due dates using spreadsheets or calibration software.
Identify instruments needing service and escalate to the senior team.
Learn and follow food industry compliance guidelines like GMP, HACCP, and ISO 17025.
Ensure proper handling of hygienic and food-grade sensors.
Work closely with calibration technicians and supervisors to complete tasks on time.
Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge of metrology and calibration techniques.
Basic understanding of instrumentation and calibration principles
Willingness to learn food-grade sensor types and hygienic standards
Attention to detail, time management, and a methodical approach
Familiarity with tools like multimeters, handheld calibrators, and calibration baths (preferred)
Good documentation and communication skills
Diploma or Bachelor’s in Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field
1–3 years of experience in a calibration lab or instrumentation role (internships can count)
Exposure to GMP, ISO, or FDA-compliant environments is an advantage
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, calibration software)
