We are looking for a skilled Mid-Level CNC Machinist with experience in machining precision valve components and enclosures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC lathes and mills, the ability to read technical drawings, and a strong understanding of tight tolerance machining. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality production of critical components used in pressure-regulated or fluid-control systems.
Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to machine parts to specification.
Select appropriate tooling, set offsets, and adjust feeds/speeds as needed.
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with tolerances and quality standards.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic machining or tooling issues independently.
Perform in-process quality checks and document results.
Maintain and clean machines, tooling, and workstations.
Work with engineering and quality teams to refine processes and optimize machining parameters.
Precision Machining: Ability to hold tight tolerances on complex valve and enclosure components.
Setup Proficiency: Independently set up CNC machines, including tooling and fixturing changes.
Blueprint Interpretation: Strong understanding of machining drawings and dimensional tolerances.
Quality Assurance: Consistently produce defect-free parts through careful inspection and documentation.
Problem Solving: Identify machining issues and proactively implement corrective actions.
Efficiency and Productivity: Maintain production targets while ensuring safety and quality compliance.
Technical diploma or trade certification in CNC machining, mechanical technology, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in CNC machining, preferably in valve manufacturing or high-precision enclosures.
Proficient with G-code and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or similar).
Familiarity with a variety of metals including stainless steel, aluminum, and brass.
Experience with first article inspection (FAI) and use of precision measurement equipment.
Understanding of GD&T and machining best practices.
Willingness to work flexible shifts and occasional overtime.
