We are looking for a Mid-Level CNC Machinist with strong hands-on experience in precision machining, particularly in the production of valve components. The role involves full machine setup, quality inspection, program adjustments, and productivity optimization. The ideal candidate is reliable, quality-focused, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines for valve component manufacturing.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Select tools, set offsets, and make minor G-code modifications as needed.
Produce valve parts such as bodies, stems, bonnets, and seals to tight tolerances.
Perform first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM (if required).
Monitor tool wear and ensure machine maintenance and cleanliness.
Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Support continuous improvement in machining processes and cycle time reduction.
Maintain documentation such as job cards, inspection records, and machine logs.
Precision Valve Component Machining:
Manufacture of high-accuracy valve parts with critical surface finishes and dimensional tolerances.
Full CNC Machine Setup & Adjustment:
Independent setup of machines, fixtures, tool selection, zero setting, and minor program edits.
In-Process Quality Control:
Accurate dimensional inspection of machined parts using hand tools and gauges to ensure product compliance.
Productivity & Process Optimization:
Identify ways to reduce machining time, improve tool life, and increase output without compromising quality.
Technical Problem-Solving:
Address machining issues such as chatter, dimensional deviation, or surface defects and apply corrective actions.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die, Machinist or relevant technical trade.
3–5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in valve or precision component manufacturing.
Proficient with CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens).
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and measuring tools.
Basic knowledge of G-code and ability to perform program edits.
