Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager – Mechanical Products is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the UAE and GCC markets. This role focuses on promoting a range of mechanical products—such as pumps, valves, HVAC systems, compressors, turbines, and fabrication services—to clients in sectors including oil & gas, water, power, industrial manufacturing, and construction. The position involves strategic sales planning, client engagement, tender management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure sales targets are met.


Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development

  • Identify and engage new clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and developers across the UAE and GCC.

  • Develop strategies to enter new markets and increase market share for mechanical products.

Sales & Account Management

  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, client meetings, technical presentations, proposal development, and deal closure.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.

Market Analysis & Opportunity Tracking

  • Monitor regional project pipelines, industry trends, and competitor activity.

  • Track opportunities from pre-tender to award stage and position the company accordingly.

Tendering & Commercial Proposals

  • Coordinate with estimation, engineering, and procurement teams to prepare competitive bids.

  • Participate in negotiations and ensure proposals meet both technical and commercial requirements.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with internal product, engineering, and service teams to develop client-focused solutions.

  • Report on sales activities, forecasts, and market intelligence to senior management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MBA is a plus)

  • 6–10 years of business development or technical sales experience in mechanical products within the UAE/GCC

  • Strong understanding of industrial applications and procurement processes in oil & gas, water, utilities, and infrastructure sectors

  • Experience dealing with consultants, EPCs, and government clients

  • UAE/GCC driving license and willingness to travel across the region
