Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Business Development Supervisor (Mid-Level) is responsible for managing business development activities across assigned sectors and regions. This includes identifying new opportunities, supporting proposal preparation, managing client communications, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver competitive offerings. The role plays a key part in supporting revenue growth for mechanical products and services such as pumps, valves, HVAC systems, and fabricated components.


Key Responsibilities:

Client & Opportunity Management

  • Maintain regular communication with existing clients and assist in identifying new prospects.

  • Track key industry projects and maintain updated records of tenders, RFQs, and commercial opportunities.

  • Participate in prequalification processes with EPCs, consultants, and developers.

Proposal & Sales Coordination

  • Collaborate with technical and estimation teams to develop and submit accurate technical-commercial proposals.

  • Support preparation of presentations, BOQs, quotations, and documentation for bids.

  • Follow up on submitted proposals and maintain a record of customer feedback.

Market Research & Sales Planning

  • Analyze trends within assigned sectors (e.g., oil & gas, water, industrial, infrastructure) to identify target customers.

  • Prepare monthly sales activity reports and pipeline updates for management.

Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project departments to ensure smooth proposal-to-delivery transitions.

  • Monitor progress of awarded projects and maintain communication with clients for updates and support.

Customer Relationship Support

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key clients under the direction of senior BD staff.

  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and site visits to support business development efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or account coordination within mechanical/industrial sectors

  • Familiarity with mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, valves, HVAC, fabrication) is highly preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and basic proposal formatting

  • Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills

  • UAE/GCC experience and valid driving license preferred
