Job Title: Bookkeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to assist in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This junior-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start or grow their career in finance and accounting. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles, good organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting systems

  • Maintain ledgers, reconcile bank statements, and monitor cash flow

  • Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable

  • Issue invoices and receipts and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments

  • Prepare basic financial reports and summaries for review by senior accountants

  • Support the month-end and year-end closing process

  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and local regulations

  • Organize and maintain financial records and documents

Key Focus Areas

  • Accurate and timely data entry

  • Bank and ledger reconciliation

  • Support for invoicing and billing functions

  • Maintenance of financial records and documentation

  • Assistance with reporting and compliance

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 1–2 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience (freshers with training may be considered)

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team environment
