We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Boiler Tube Welder to perform advanced welding and repair of boiler tubes and pressure parts in a power plant setting. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in welding techniques, metallurgy, and boiler system components, ensuring the integrity, safety, and reliability of critical boiler pressure vessels.
Perform high-quality welding repairs and replacements of boiler tubes, headers, drums, and other pressure parts using TIG, MIG, SMAW, and other welding processes.
Interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings to execute complex welds according to specifications.
Conduct inspections of welds and pressure parts using NDT methods such as ultrasonic testing, radiography, or dye penetrant testing to ensure weld integrity.
Lead tube replacement and repair activities during planned outages, shutdowns, and emergency repairs.
Coordinate with maintenance planners and engineers to schedule welding tasks and prioritize critical repairs.
Ensure all welding work complies with applicable codes and standards including ASME Section IX and NBIC.
Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including confined space entry, LOTO, and PPE requirements during welding operations.
Conduct risk assessments and assist in developing safe work procedures for welding tasks.
Maintain accurate welding logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior welders and helpers on welding techniques and safety practices.
Train team members on new welding technologies, materials, and best practices.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding quality and efficiency.

Education:
Technical diploma or certification in Welding Technology or equivalent
Certifications (Required or Preferred):
Certified Welder (AWS, ASME Section IX)
Additional NDT certifications (UT, RT, PT) highly desirable
Safety certifications including confined space and hot work permits
Experience:
7+ years of welding experience in power plant boiler maintenance or heavy industrial settings
Proven expertise in boiler tube welding and pressure vessel repair
Skills:
Mastery of various welding techniques suitable for high-temperature pressure parts
Ability to read and interpret welding procedures, blueprints, and technical documentation
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Effective communication and leadership skills
