The Boiler Solutions Consultant (Mid-Level) is responsible for evaluating client requirements, designing tailored boiler solutions, and providing technical-commercial support for new installations, retrofits, or system upgrades. The role combines engineering expertise with sales acumen to develop energy-efficient and cost-effective boiler systems aligned with industry codes and client expectations.
Assess client process needs and site conditions to recommend appropriate boiler systems (steam, hot water, waste heat, or hybrid).
Design and size boiler solutions based on thermal load, fuel type, emissions requirements, and system integration.
Prepare and review technical proposals, P&IDs, datasheets, and equipment selections in accordance with standards (ASME, IBR, ISO).
Support project engineers and commercial teams during bidding, client meetings, and contract negotiations.
Perform energy audits, fuel efficiency evaluations, and boiler upgrade assessments.
Liaise with OEMs, internal engineering teams, and field service staff to validate solution feasibility.
Conduct site visits and coordinate basic layout design, piping routes, and auxiliary equipment requirements.
Provide technical support throughout the sales process, including clarification meetings and proposal revisions.
Maintain updated knowledge of emerging boiler technologies, emission controls, and regulatory changes.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Power Engineering.
3–5 years of experience in boiler system design, technical sales, or industrial energy consulting.
Proficient in thermal calculations, fuel conversions, and boiler system integration.
Familiarity with boiler codes and standards (ASME Section I, API, NFPA, ISO 16528, etc.).
Ability to read technical drawings, prepare BOMs, and write proposal documents.
Experience with packaged boilers, HRSGs, waste heat recovery, and auxiliary equipment (deaerators, economizers, blowdown systems).
Strong communication and client-facing skills with an ability to explain technical solutions in commercial terms.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic simulation/sizing tools.
Ability to lead field surveys and interface between clients, engineers, and contractors.
