The Junior Boiler Safety Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the enforcement of boiler safety standards and supporting compliance with applicable codes such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section I) and NBIC (National Board Inspection Code). This role helps ensure that all boiler operations are carried out safely and in accordance with internal protocols and regulatory requirements. Assist in conducting routine boiler safety inspections and audits under supervision.
Support the implementation of safety standards in accordance with ASME Section I, Section VIII, and NBIC guidelines.
Monitor boiler system performance for early signs of safety risks (e.g., overpressure, corrosion, or material fatigue).
Help maintain safety logs, records, and documentation required for compliance with internal and external audits.
Participate in incident investigations and support root cause analysis efforts related to boiler system safety.
Assist in reviewing work permits and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for high-risk maintenance activities.
Observe boiler start-up and shutdown procedures to verify compliance with safety protocols.
Support training initiatives and toolbox talks on boiler safety awareness and code compliance.
Liaise with boiler operators and maintenance teams to promote best practices in safety monitoring.
Code Compliance Support
Understand and apply basic requirements of ASME Section I, NBIC, and local regulatory codes related to boiler safety.
Safety Inspection Participation
Assist in field safety assessments and identify conditions that may lead to hazardous operation or non-compliance.
Documentation and Audit Readiness
Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and documentation for internal tracking and external audits.
Risk Recognition and Communication
Learn to identify early warning signs of boiler hazards and effectively communicate concerns to senior personnel.

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, or a related technical field.
0–2 years of experience in boiler operations, safety engineering, or compliance (internships or co-op experience considered).
Familiarity with industrial boiler systems, safety valves, pressure vessels, and basic thermodynamics.
Exposure to ASME and NBIC codes (training or coursework preferred).
Strong attention to detail, safety-mindedness, and willingness to learn.
