We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Boiler Operator to lead boiler operations in a power plant setting. This senior role requires deep expertise in boiler systems, combustion controls, and pressure part management, along with leadership skills to supervise operations, mentor junior staff, and ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Lead and oversee the safe and efficient operation of high-pressure boilers, burners, and auxiliary systems.
Manage boiler start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures with full accountability.
Optimize boiler performance through advanced control adjustments and system diagnostics.
Diagnose and resolve complex boiler operational issues including combustion inefficiencies, pressure fluctuations, and mechanical failures.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for major repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs.
Review and approve maintenance work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Enforce rigorous safety protocols and ensure team adherence to LOTO, confined space, hot work permits, and emergency response plans.
Maintain detailed operational logs, incident reports, and regulatory documentation.
Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to boiler operators and assistants, fostering skill development and operational excellence.
Develop and conduct training programs on boiler operation, safety practices, and emergency procedures.
Act as a technical resource for operational challenges and plant management.
Liaise with control room operators, engineering, maintenance, and management to ensure seamless plant operations.
Prepare and present detailed operational reports and performance summaries.
Participate in regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with ASME codes, environmental regulations, and plant SOPs.

Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, or related discipline preferred
Certifications (Preferred):
1st Class or 2nd Class Boiler Operator License (or equivalent)
Safety and leadership certifications such as OSHA 30, Confined Space, Hot Work, and Supervisor Safety Training
Experience:
8+ years of comprehensive experience in boiler operation and maintenance with at least 3 years in a senior or lead operator role
Proven expertise with high-pressure boilers, burners, combustion controls, and auxiliary systems
Skills:
Advanced troubleshooting and decision-making skills under pressure
Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities
Proficiency in CMMS software, operational reporting, and technical documentation
In-depth knowledge of boiler codes (ASME Section I), safety regulations, and environmental compliance
