We are seeking a skilled and reliable Boiler Operator / Assistant Operator with mid-level experience to manage and support boiler operations within a power plant. This role involves independently operating boilers, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting minor issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Independently operate boilers, managing pressure, temperature, fuel supply, and steam output to meet plant requirements.
Monitor key parameters using control panels and instrumentation; take corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.
Conduct routine adjustments to burner settings, feedwater controls, and combustion air to optimize efficiency.
Identify and respond to abnormal boiler conditions such as leaks, pressure fluctuations, or alarm indications.
Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance tasks including lubrication, valve adjustments, and cleaning.
Assist maintenance teams during outages and repairs by preparing equipment and documenting findings.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols including LOTO, confined space entry, and emergency shutdown procedures.
Maintain accurate logs and reports on boiler operation, maintenance activities, and safety incidents.
Ensure compliance with plant operating procedures, environmental regulations, and boiler codes (e.g., ASME).
Participate in advanced training sessions on boiler operation, combustion control, and emergency response.
Mentor junior operators and assistants to foster skill development and operational excellence.
Stay updated with the latest industry practices and safety standards.

Education:
Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Operations, or related field
Certifications (Required or Preferred):
Valid Boiler Operator License (2nd Class or equivalent)
Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, Confined Space, and Hot Work preferred
Experience:
3–6 years of experience in boiler operation and maintenance within power plants or industrial facilities
Proficient with boiler controls, combustion systems, and auxiliary equipment
Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and operational decision-making skills
Knowledge of boiler safety codes and environmental regulations
Proficient in logkeeping, maintenance reporting, and CMMS software
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
