We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Boiler Operator / Assistant Operator to support the operation and monitoring of boiler systems within a power plant. This entry-level role involves assisting senior operators in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable boiler performance. It is ideal for candidates eager to develop skills in boiler controls, steam generation, and plant safety protocols.
Assist senior boiler operators in starting, operating, and shutting down boilers safely.
Monitor boiler parameters such as pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel supply.
Report any abnormal conditions or alarms promptly to senior operators.
Conduct routine visual inspections of boiler components, gauges, valves, and controls.
Assist with water treatment monitoring and basic adjustments under supervision.
Help ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of burners, fuel lines, and auxiliary systems.
Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE requirements.
Assist in maintaining operational logs, checklists, and documentation according to plant standards.
Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
Support minor maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, and gasket replacements.
Help prepare the boiler for scheduled shutdowns and assist during inspections.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to report operational issues.
Participate actively in training programs focused on boiler operation, combustion control, and plant safety.
Gain hands-on experience with boiler controls, instrumentation, and emergency procedures.
Work under guidance of senior operators to build technical competence and operational confidence.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in power plant operations or mechanical technology is an advantage
Certifications (Preferred or Willing to Obtain):
Entry-level boiler operator license or willingness to obtain
Basic safety training (e.g., OSHA 10)
Experience:
0–1 year experience in industrial or power plant environment (internship or apprentice experience acceptable)
Skills:
Basic understanding of boiler systems and steam generation
Willingness to work in shifts and physically demanding conditions
Good observational and communication skills
Strong commitment to safety and learning
