  • Ensure full compliance with relevant codes and standards, including ASME Section I, NBIC, local boiler regulations, and environmental requirements.

  • Supervise a team of technicians and junior supervisors; assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide training and mentorship.

  • Review boiler performance metrics (efficiency, emissions, thermal load) and initiate corrective actions to optimize reliability and fuel consumption.

  • Manage inspection schedules and collaborate with third-party inspectors or regulatory authorities for internal/external audits and certifications.

  • Participate in failure investigations and lead root cause analysis (RCA) for significant issues involving boiler pressure parts, refractory failures, or combustion issues.

  • Monitor spare parts inventory and critical equipment availability; support procurement and budget planning.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, extend boiler life, and enhance team productivity.

  3. Efficiency & Performance Optimization

    • Improve fuel efficiency, combustion stability, and thermal performance through routine analysis and upgrades to burners or control systems.

  4. Technical Leadership & Team Development

    • Provide mentorship, leadership, and oversight to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring knowledge transfer and high maintenance standards.

  5. Turnaround & Emergency Response Planning

    • Lead annual shutdowns, emergency outage responses, and critical path execution with minimal disruption to plant operations.
