The Mid-Level Boiler Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and performance optimization of boiler systems in industrial plants, utilities, or water treatment facilities. This role includes supervising technical teams, managing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical faults, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The supervisor also contributes to reliability planning, shutdown coordination, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance crews performing mechanical work on boilers, burners, steam lines, feedwater systems, economizers, and related equipment.
Develop, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure high availability and safe operation of boiler systems.
Monitor boiler performance indicators and initiate diagnostics for issues such as pressure drops, scaling, tube leakage, burner malfunctions, and control system errors.
Support boiler inspections, both internal and external, and ensure compliance with ASME Section I, NBIC, and local boiler safety regulations.
Lead minor and moderate repair and overhaul activities, including coordination with vendors and contractors during shutdowns.
Maintain maintenance records, service logs, and performance documentation for audits and continuous improvement.
Identify and recommend upgrades to equipment or maintenance procedures that improve reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Train and mentor junior technicians and ensure maintenance staff adhere to LOTO procedures, PPE use, and risk assessments.
Ensure readiness and support for emergency response procedures and boiler trip recovery plans.
Boiler Reliability and Uptime
Minimize unplanned downtime by improving response time, diagnostics, and maintenance strategies for critical boiler components.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Planning
Enhance asset lifespan through structured inspections, vibration monitoring, thermography, and water chemistry checks.
Safety and Compliance Management
Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with occupational safety standards and local/national boiler codes.
Shutdown and Turnaround Coordination
Plan, supervise, and document scheduled shutdowns for boiler inspections, cleaning, and component replacement.
Continuous Improvement and Cost Optimization
