We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior BIM Engineer to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of BIM processes across multiple large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in BIM tools and workflows, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to guide teams toward achieving project goals using digital construction methodologies. This role requires leadership in both execution and innovation in BIM practices.
Lead the development, coordination, and management of complex BIM models (Architecture, Structure, MEP) across all project phases.
Oversee and enforce adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), company standards, and client-specific BIM requirements.
Facilitate and lead coordination meetings, clash detection sessions, and model reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level BIM team members, ensuring model quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to support design development, sequencing (4D), cost estimation (5D), and digital fabrication workflows.
Maintain model integrity and manage version control, model sharing, and data management across CDE (Common Data Environment) platforms like BIM 360, ACC, or Aconex.
Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews on all BIM deliverables.
Develop and implement advanced BIM workflows using Dynamo, scripting tools, or API customizations where necessary.
Drive continuous improvement in digital delivery practices, contributing to the evolution of in-house BIM standards and best practices.
Provide BIM input during tenders, proposals, and client presentations when required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in BIM roles, with proven responsibility on major or multidisciplinary projects.
Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 or equivalent platforms.
Strong knowledge of international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, BS/PAS 1192, LOD specifications, COBie).
Demonstrated experience in leading model coordination and clash resolution efforts.
Ability to read and interpret complex design documents, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
Solid understanding of project life cycle from design to construction and facility management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, buildingSMART) is a strong plus.
Experience with scripting or visual programming tools (e.g., Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper).
Exposure to 4D/5D BIM, GIS integration, digital twin, or facility management workflows.
Experience across multiple sectors: infrastructure, healthcare, commercial, or industrial construction.
