We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Senior BAS (Building Automation System) Technician to lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of automated HVAC systems in controlled or regulated environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC processes, automation controls, instrumentation, and cleanroom compliance. This role requires both technical leadership and hands-on expertise in managing and troubleshooting BAS platforms to ensure continuous, efficient, and compliant system performance.
Operate and monitor HVAC systems through BAS/BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Johnson Controls).
Optimize control loops, temperature setpoints, differential pressures, and humidity ranges based on process requirements.
Diagnose control logic issues, sensor failures, and equipment integration faults.
Lead the maintenance of field-level devices (sensors, actuators, valves, VFDs, dampers) connected to BAS.
Perform system checks, trend analysis, and resolve discrepancies between BAS data and field equipment.
Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams to implement corrective actions and system upgrades.
Ensure BAS is configured and functioning to meet cleanroom requirements (e.g., ISO 14644, GMP, HACCP).
Maintain and monitor parameters for air changes per hour (ACH), pressure cascades, temperature, and humidity across classified zones.
Support validation and qualification processes for HVAC and automation systems.
Investigate and resolve BAS alarms related to HVAC, environmental conditions, and control logic faults.
Maintain alarm logs and provide detailed reports and root cause analysis of repeated system issues.
Support 24/7 alarm escalation protocols in critical process zones.
Maintain all control system documentation including logic diagrams, device wiring maps, network architecture, and point lists.
Use CMMS/BMS to log maintenance activities, alarm trends, and calibration histories.
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external audits (GMP, FDA, ISO).
Mentor junior BAS technicians and oversee field installation, commissioning, and verification tasks.
Conduct technical training on BAS platforms, alarm response protocols, and HVAC control principles.
Collaborate with engineering, validation, QA, and production teams to support system changes or expansions.
